Inspired by the cold waters off Oregon’s north coast, Dana began his original design by creating a cool color palette from Kona Cotton solids. He chose a collection of turquoises and soft blues, setting this against light neutrals of similar value. These color combinations, along with the angular geometry, create a modern representation of sand, sea, and sky.

Breakers earned a blue ribbon at the Willamette Valley Quilt Festival, January 2020 in the Modern category. Pretty exciting for Dana’s first quilt design!
